What is the history and popularity of the app?

Einztein is a non-profit organization. It was created by three educators who believe that learning should be available to anyone who wants it. At present, there are no traffic statistics available.

What are the differences to other apps?

Einztein aggregates links from courses all over the world by subject. Several colleges offer free courseware, but it can be a challenge to find the desired course if one does not know what university offers it. With the team screening courses to offer the best and most complete content, this is a valuable resource for people seeking free online learning.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The home page is uncluttered with a streamlined design. Users may choose a featured class from that page or use the search tool or browse subject links. There are currently thirty-eight subjects listed. Each subject link directs the user to a list of courses offered online. The list may be filtered by university or type of media offered in the course.

Each course listing describes the content, type of media available (documents, audio, other media, or video) and a list of tags. Some courses have been rated by users according to a 5-star system. When a course is chosen from the list, the user is directed to a more complete description of the course and a link to the university site and content. Depending upon the college, users may be able to download the content.

The search function offers a similar result list which may also be filtered by university and media as well as by subject if the search term has resulting courses in several subject areas.

How does the registration process work?

Users provide a username, email, and password to sign up for Einztein. An activation email is sent immediately.

What does it cost to use the application?

Einztein, in keeping with its philosophy of offering free education, is completely free of charge.

Who would you recommend the application to?

This site is a fantastic resource for anyone who has a desire to learn. It is completely free to use and only features online university courses that are free. Content is all at university level, so most will be accessible to those in high school and above, depending on the subject matter.
